Best genealogy moment I had always heard that one of my gr-gr-gr-gr grandmothers, Sarah Barnes Cowart had died in North Carolina. I found her grave in Winston Co., Alabama, and was able to add something to the existing info on her. It made me feel good.

Check out the Find A Grave web site

I recently discovered the Find A Grave web site, and recommend it to everyone with an interest in genealogy.  I have found many pictures of family tombstones, and have taken pictures requested by other folks.  You can sponsor a memorial for $5.  You can add links to the different memorials you create to link your family together.  If someone else "owns" a memorial for someone in your family, it is easy to transfer it to you for editing, or adding info.

If you go to the site, to see how it works, just do a search for my father, Adrain V. Wood, and you will find his memorial.  It is really easy to use.
