Hello, folks.   I wanted to remind everyone of the upcoming 7th West Virginia Cavalry Descendants Reunion which will take place on Saturday, July 11th, beginning at 9:00am.  It will be held in the Cultural Center at the State Capital complex in Charleston, West Virginia.   I will be giving a lecture on the 7th that morning in the theater.   In the afternoon, you can tour the newly opened West Virginia State Museum and/or receive assistance on researching your ancestor in the West Virginia State Archives.   All of these activities are in the Cultural Center building.

Some folks have asked how they might be of assistance at the reunion.  Here are a few things that some volunteers can assist with: 1.  Help with registration from 9:00 to 9:30.   (I want to capture a list of the attendees and their ancestors in the 7th) 2.  If you are from the Charleston area, at lunchtime, assist out-of-town folks with directions to nearby restaurants.  There are several within walking distance. 3.  Take photographs during the reunion and share those with me in digital format.  (maybe on a cd)
