Folks,  just wanted to remind everyone about the 7th West Virginia Cavalry Descendants Reunion to be held in Charleston, West Virginia, on Saturday, July 11th, 2009.   The event will be held at the Cultural Center at the West Virginia State Capital Complex in Charleston.  It is free and everyone with an interest in the 7th West Virginia is encouraged to attend.   Here's the tentative schedule: 9:00 to 9:30 - Registration in the Great Hall at the Cultural Center 9:30 to 11:30 - Lectures regarding the history of the 7th West Virginia Cavalry in the Cultural Center auditorium 11:30 to 1:00 -  Lunch on your own (there are several good restaurants nearby including fast food such as Wendy's and Subway) 1:00 to 5:00 - Assistance will be available in the WV State Archives Library (located in the same building) on how to conduct research on your ancestor(s) 1:00 to 5:00 - Visit the new state of the art West Virginia History Museum (located in the same building).  This new museum is free and will be opening to the public on June 20th.
