    Historical Places

    Well, I had what I think is a fun idea and I have started working on mine already. I have put 2 galleries in my photo section one titled Photo Tree where I am trying to put as many photos as I have of my DIRECT family lines. This will take some time as I am still working on trying to find photos and if I get them from other folks getting permission to use them. I also started one called Historical Places. Many are places near me that I have visited in the past or just take for granted since I live in the area . Along with each photo in the comments area I added some of the history of the site or the local area  giving everyone a history lesson of the area and help us all remember the importance of these places in our history , and maybe help some folks find future vacation spots. It will be fun I think ...a virtual vacation...lol

    What a great idea. Especially for folks who live near places, that, as you said, we take for granted because we live there. Or places that are not all that well known.

    I love the idea of the direct family line pictures. I should organize my pictures into a similar format.

    For that matter I should organize anything around here to do with my research.

    Hi Cindy, I'm new on the AncestralSpace and found it via a Google search. I'm from the same LEE line!!!! John Cader LEE and Amanda Jane West. I also descend from a Cassie Redd(i)en from Galveston, TX whose daughter, Georgianna HUDSON moved (adopted) to Oklahoma and Coffeyville area. She lived at one time in Tahlequah.

    I don't know how to request a friendship on here yet but if you could send me one, I'd appreciate it as it seems the only option. I have a question to ask you about the LEEs of Logan, AR via NC and have run into many a brick wall. Could you pm me? We are distant blood kin, that's for sure.
