I am searching for any information someone might have on my ancestors. I am glad to share any information I have also! I hope there is a connection out there somewhere! And thank you.
Nancy J. ROGERS {maiden name unknown but might be BERRY}(married name sometimes spelled RODGERS)
b. around 1843, 1844 in
Arkansas (or maybe Oak Grove, Louisiana)
m. unknown date, husband's name is unknown except last name is ROGERS. (In the "US Federal Census Mortality Schedules, 1850-1880", I found a Joseph Rogers from Phillips, Couty who could be her husband... I have also found a John Rogers, however it says he is from Arkansas, County that could be Nancy J. Rogers' husband.)

This is the earliest census I can find for Nancy J. ROGERS. She is listed as a farmer. No adult male in household. Was her husband dead? Who is he?
There is a Marriage Record for 1883 for Mrs. Nancy J. RODGERS (this is her just last name spelled differently). She is married to an Isaac ADAIR. It states she lives in Arkansas City, Desha Co., Arkansas.
She is found again on the Arkansas marriage record of her daughter Ida M. ROGERS to Andrew L. JACKSON in 1886 in Desha County. Ida M. Rogers was stated to be from Tillar Station. Nancy J. Rogers Adair is listed as a parent. Isaac ADAIR also signed as as a parent, but we know he was the stepfather.
I have nothing for Nancy J. ROGERS ADAIR. Ida M. ROGERS JACKSON was part American Indian. But I do not know if this was from her mother or father's line.
Thank you for helping me! Please feel free to ask me questions. I do have more on the descendants of Ida M. Rogers Jackson and Andrew L. Jackson, which might help.
Thanks again and have a great day! : )
