    John Alfred Carlson

    Tuesday, October 21, 2008, 7:57 PM [General]

I am trying to bust through my brick wall.  John Alfred Carlson is my husband's great grandfather.  I have his death certificate which said he was born 2 Feb 1866 in Sweden and died 22 Sep 1942.  I know he immigrated to the US in 1873 and lived in IL.  On the death certificate, it did not name his mother or father, who both were born in Sweden.  I would think he would have come over with them since he was only 7 years old.  That's all I can come up with.  Any suggestions on where I should look for more information.

Another little one on the way

    Monday, October 20, 2008, 1:44 PM [General]

I am a mother of four and a step mom of five.  All together my husband and I have sixteen grandchildren and just received news from my oldest son they are expecting again.  They tell me it's a boy.  That will be a change since the last six have been girls.  I'm going to have to start garage saling for blue things now.

I second that "congratulations". I have four grandchildren, all live nearby and love having them.
