    I am so excited!

    Thursday, November 20, 2008, 01:30 PM [General]

    Two exciting events for me.

    1.   I am waiting my maternal lineage DNA results.  From what I understand, my   results will also be good for my sister, my mom, my aunt and even cousin Randy who is a member here.  Ancestry.com has their DNA kits 40% off right now.  They were 50% off a month ago when I got mine.

    2.   I ordered a book titled "Descendants of Overton Harlow and Elizabeth Hunt Harlow" by Ruth Hails Harlow.  Overton and Elizabeth would be my gggg-grandparents.  The book is said to have photos, obits, family trees, etc.  I am anxious to see it.

    I also called IRAD today for some information on my bio-grandfather's side of the family.  The lady said they didn't have much for Hamilton County but since they didn't, the County Clerk should have a lot.  Unfortunately, that means I will have to pay more for the documents.  You can't beat IRAD's pricing, 25 cents per copy and they look up the information and mail it to you.

    Thanks, Cyndy!

    Yeah, I tripped the light fantastic--and broke my humerus in the process--but I'm not finding it very funny....{tee hee--that's a joke!}

    Fortunately, it's my left arm [if that's what you want to call it]and NOT my right--or I'd be in serious trouble here.

    I'm a little slow at responding, so bear with me. I'll be all right: I don't have to have surgery, TG, but my arm and shoulder are really sore and ache, especially with a change in the weather.

    Take care!

    Its a pretty big book, 1 of the things says what is your goal...his answer was to get 35 bushels per acre and it goes on about all the marriges and deaths back in the 1800's and there's a song well part of one about mr. hangman.
