Best genealogy moment
My Great Grandfather was always a block for me and with several attempts to get a death certificate on him just couldn't I was always told he didn't exist they checked all their records but one day I wrote to the funeral homes in the area that was in business the year he died and one day I opened my mail to find a letter from them and a copy of the funeral record I was jumping up and down with joy to finally find something on him

Hello I just found this site and thought it was a great idea someone had and would love to meet people that love genealogy as much as I do. I am researching all branches of my family which include the names: Cantrell, Phillips, Callaham, Sanford, Laney and Butler
I descend from Lyman Sanford and Johanna Chubbs on the Sanford line. I descend from Francis Cantrell and Margaret Phillips on the Cantrell line. I descend from William Franklin Callaham and Mary Ellen Slane on the Callaham line
