Every once in awhile, every once in awhile,  you meet new people that bring a light to a gloom day.....that is what happen today.  I had the opportunity to chat with the great people of the Winnebago and Boone Genealogy Society.  It is great to find and connect with others that are interested in the samething that you are....family history.   I hope to see some on this site....cause, even though I don't visit this site as much as I should.....perhaps this will cause me to visit everyday.

Its another day in Northern Illinois where it may rain or shine or snow.  Perfect days for reflecting on where I want my genealogy to go.  It really leads but I follow. 

So my thoughts have been why do we do this genealogy thing?  To what purpose?  I enjoy the research and finding family, to pass all this work on, to write a book.  Once you start you will never finish.  Newly discovered family members to find in all sorts of documents.  Brickwalls that will come down.  All the enjoyment when you find one document to prove that yes your great great grandmother did live and where she lived.
