Well here I am finally posting my blog.
I've been researching my family's lines since 1970, both sides all branches. Yes I know thats alot to undertake right off the bat, but how could I refuse? I got bit early by the bug and it got infected. If I had known what I was getting into I would have invested in stocks of companies selling paper and notebooks, oh and lets not forget about our friendly post office!
I'm researching my Doyle lines from Ireland to Chicago spanning the years as wide as they are long.
My married side, the Kemp lines have been an explosion of names, dates and people from all over the world so much so I felt it only right that I publish to the web to share what I've found so far. And what I found is a huge mass of people world wide who want and need to share just like me. From Prussia to medieval England to Australia to New Foundland to the Americas. Ever had to wade through old documents written in old latin? Eah gads!
Now my Doyle side is my dad's line. My mom's line stems from Sweden and Chicago. The Fredricks, Millers and Lindenau are my major lines there. Had to learn a bit of Swedish there.
From the get go I have been amazed at what my ancestors had gone through just so our current generation could walk this earth. It's amazing what people have been through, standing court in England, to backing rebellions in Ireland, to running with mobsters in Chicago, to be pronounced dead while crossing the Atlantic. I have had to shove my way through bureaucracy just to find my father's real name, to deciphering old latin texts.
Would I do it again? Your damn straight I would, and more. Boy if I just knew then what I know now I sure coulda been a great help to myself!

Howdy Patricia!!
