Thanks for the suggestion Julie. I have tried looking through the footnote site,but so far nothing. If I ever get Ancestry again, that might be an option. Thanks again.

Julie, Hi. No, I haven't found his death certificate yet. I did see on someone's family tree that they had John CARTER b. about 1854 & his mother listed as Elizabeth. I posted a note on that family tree to correct it, but don't know if they will accept my information. I have tried to find Houston's death certificate. He is in Collin Co, TX in 1930 census living with his daughter Lizzie CARTER Howell, a widow. They are putting all of Texas death certificates on Footnote.com. I'm hoping once they get that finished I may be able to find it. With my luck, whoever filled it out probably didn't know. But then again I might hit paydirt.Jesse & Lavenia had another son, Thomas b. about 1851-52 in MO.



Thanks for the suggestion, I am going to try to find one of their death certificates, if not all.
