Working on genealogy again full force... Working on my husband's maternal side... Lots of Macoupin County, IL names... O'Brien, Coatney, Manley... Other names not Macoupin County are KLINE, ETHRIDGE, ELLIS, WILLIAMS-- all in the Madison County, IL area... Working hard on finding obits on newspaperarchive... lots seem to have died post 1916 1950 and pre SSSDI so it has been a hunt but have been getting quite a few... Need to make a trip to Bunker Hill as MANY are buried at Bunker Hill City Cemetery....
That's about it....

I have still been working on my DRAINER, KANALLAKAN, MUNSTERMAN, BUNSE lines.... We have a Drainer/Kanallakan reunion Friday night... it was great... Lots of people... I had someone wanting a DRAINER book so I had two printed and ended up selling them both (only charge what it costs me to have them printed)... Now I have two more orders for a Drainer book and now two orders for a KANALLAKAN book and almost have it finished (well as finished as genealogy ever gets)... Will be going to Office Depot this Friday or Saturday to have them printed...
Other than that not much else has been going on... Back to work for the school year... things went well the first 3 days... Got a nice office... no windows or air system but have a fan so it has been nice...
Well back to work on more of my Kanallakans...

This picture was taken in the Spring of 1979... My grandpa was out farming and found this baby deer... Being the AWESOME grandpa that he was he picked up the deer and brought him back to the house for us to see... We kept it there for about 20-30 minutes and then he convinced us that he had to take it back... When he did the mother came charging at him... He hurriedly got off the tractor, put the deer down, and literally ran back to the tractor... The mama deer was right at his feet and she tried a couple of times to get on the tractor... Luckily she didn't make it...

Yesterday (June 14th) was the 162nd anniversary of my 4th great grandparents, Clemence and Johanna (Piper) Munsterman came to America. They left Westphalen(sp), Germany and boarded the passenger ship, Alfred. They arrived June 14, 1847 in New York. They had their oldest child, Adam, 1 year old with them and also Anthony Munsterman, aged 19. At this time, I am not sure who Anthony is. In 1853, Clemence and Johanna had another child, Anthony. Wondering if Anthony (the unknown one on the ship) might have been a nephew or a much younger brother to Clemence??
Anywho... Happy Anniversary!
