Working on genealogy again full force... Working on my husband's maternal side... Lots of Macoupin County, IL names... O'Brien, Coatney, Manley... Other names not Macoupin County are KLINE, ETHRIDGE, ELLIS, WILLIAMS-- all in the Madison County, IL area... Working hard on finding obits on newspaperarchive... lots seem to have died post 1916 1950 and pre SSSDI so it has been a hunt but have been getting quite a few... Need to make a trip to Bunker Hill as MANY are buried at Bunker Hill City Cemetery....
That's about it....

I have still been working on my DRAINER, KANALLAKAN, MUNSTERMAN, BUNSE lines.... We have a Drainer/Kanallakan reunion Friday night... it was great... Lots of people... I had someone wanting a DRAINER book so I had two printed and ended up selling them both (only charge what it costs me to have them printed)... Now I have two more orders for a Drainer book and now two orders for a KANALLAKAN book and almost have it finished (well as finished as genealogy ever gets)... Will be going to Office Depot this Friday or Saturday to have them printed...
Other than that not much else has been going on... Back to work for the school year... things went well the first 3 days... Got a nice office... no windows or air system but have a fan so it has been nice...
Well back to work on more of my Kanallakans...

This picture was taken in the Spring of 1979... My grandpa was out farming and found this baby deer... Being the AWESOME grandpa that he was he picked up the deer and brought him back to the house for us to see... We kept it there for about 20-30 minutes and then he convinced us that he had to take it back... When he did the mother came charging at him... He hurriedly got off the tractor, put the deer down, and literally ran back to the tractor... The mama deer was right at his feet and she tried a couple of times to get on the tractor... Luckily she didn't make it...

Yesterday (June 14th) was the 162nd anniversary of my 4th great grandparents, Clemence and Johanna (Piper) Munsterman came to America. They left Westphalen(sp), Germany and boarded the passenger ship, Alfred. They arrived June 14, 1847 in New York. They had their oldest child, Adam, 1 year old with them and also Anthony Munsterman, aged 19. At this time, I am not sure who Anthony is. In 1853, Clemence and Johanna had another child, Anthony. Wondering if Anthony (the unknown one on the ship) might have been a nephew or a much younger brother to Clemence??
Anywho... Happy Anniversary!

Well I am still working on the PRICE family... Right now I have the following in my direct line:
Mary Ann BLACK Browning-- 3rd great grandmother
Fannie PRICE Black--- 4th great grandmother
Michael PRICE-- 5th great grandfather
Conrad PRICE-- 6th great grandfather-- wife was Anna Elizabeth MALLO/W
Augustine PRICE-- 7 great grandfather-- wife was Anna Elizabeth SCHERP
David PRICE-- 8th great grandfather-- married Agnes HOFFMAN
Mary Ann's parents were Thomas and Fannie PRICE BLACK... She was one of 5 children... All are a mystery to be but Mary... Mary Ann married Thomas Browning, son of John S. Browning and Martha O'Neal... Thomas and Mary Ann divorced in the 1880's...
Michael PRICE was b. 16 Feb 1783 in Augusta Co., VA... Baptized 16 Jun 1783 at Peaked Mountain Church in Rockingham Co., VA... Around 1799, Michael and his parents and siblings came to St. Charles, MO and settled around the Dardenne Prairie area. Michael died in 1839. I currently have his probate but doesn't really give much information... No known place of burial. He did marry Nancy Bransfield on 14 Aug 1806 in St. Charles, MO... Michael and Nancy had supposed 7 children but only know of 5 of them... More research is needed on this family...
Conrad PRICE was born 24 Dec 1752 in Augusta Co., VA... He was the son of Augustine PRICE and Anna Elizabeth SCHERP... He died in April 1812 in St. Charles Co., MO... He and his wife are supposedly buried at an abandoned Bailey Cemetery... He married Anna Elizabeth MALLO... No marriage date has been found for this marriage... Some researchrs say he was first married to a Lise THOMAS but again no marriage has been found for this couple and no proof has been found... Conrad and Anna had 7 children: MNichael, Augustine, Elizabeth who married Joseph Yardley, Frederick, Anna, John Peter, Jacob, George, and Joseph. Joseph was killed in 1806 in St. Charles Co, MO by Indians...
Augustine PRICE married Ann Elizabeth SCHERP, in I believe 1749'ish, in VA... They had 7, possibly 8 children... Susanna who married John Mann, Conrad, Augustin who married Mary Miller, Elisabeth, John Frederick, Anna Catherine, and Maria Catherine who married Henry Miller. The possible 8th child was John Peter...
Augustine PRICE was the son of David and Agnes HOFFMAN PRICE... David and Agnes remained in Germany. Augustine came to the US in 1735 on the Winter Galley with his brothers and sisters...
So right now I am researching Augusta, Montgomery, and Rockingham Counties in Virginia and also in St. Charles, MO county...
Will continue more later...

Wow... it has been awhile since I have been here... I have hit the goldmine with a new line...
My 3rd great grandmother was Mary Ann Black Browning... We found her parents which were Thomas Black and Frances Price. Frannie/Fannie was the daughter of Michael Price and Nancy Bransfield. Michael's parents were Conrad Price and Anna Elizabeth Mallo. Conrad's parents were Augustine Price (Preisch) and Elizabeth Scherp. There is another generation back but not confirmed by me yet.
I am currently waiting on Michael's probate which I was hoping would come today in the mail but it didn't... should be here Monday...
Will update more later!
