are we going to discuss historical fiction...or is it just non fiction? (great idea for a group!!)

Thanks for starting this group. I love the movie True Women. Could be cause I'm from Texas. I haven't yet read the book. Is it like the movie or different? I think there's another book by the same author. My favorite historical novel is the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon.

Great idea! I wish I had time to read...:-( The last time I read was the winter before last when our power went out. I sat on the couch, bundled up with some hot tea/cocoa and read several books. We've got several bookcases full of books in the finished basement, it's like a library! I will peek in here from time to time and maybe I'll see what you all are reading and have to go get me a copy.

That's my nomination for a "good read." The story takes place in Missouri and the plot is not too dissimilar from "Cold Mountain." But the resemblance ends beyond the basic plot of a trip through a war zone to get back home.
