Does anybody have an ancestor or relative buried at the J.B. cemetery? Do you want a photo of the headstone, but live too far away? I can help, just message me.
Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery is a a cemetery located in St. Louis, Missouri where men and women (and their spouse) who have served in the United States Military can be interred.
If you need help in this regard, message me.
Sincerely,
Gary

My best genealogy moment happened several years ago. My good friend Tracy and I was in Monroe County, Illinois, doing some research on my buettner family roots. We were in the Waterloo Public Library just getting a feel for the area and looking for whatever we could find. We had found some death and cemetery information. we were also looking for information on the old farm that I had heard so much about over the years, but there did not seem to me to be much info available. I was anxious to leave and go searching more cemeteries and such, but she found a clue and was determined to pin something down. Her persistence paid off. With a little help from the librarian, we located the farm in a 1880 platt book and made a photo copy. We then mached this up with a modern map and landmarks, then just drove to the old place. We pulled in the driveway of a house, knocked on the door and introduced myself and found out that i was in the right spot. we talked for quite a while he invited us back to explore some more.
I later learned that my great great grandfather purchased the original 80 acres for $25.00 in 1862.
What a great weekend.
