    Life is an adventure

I'm new to the world of genealogy, having been delightfully introduced by my dear love, Sandra. Who is, by the way, an accomplished researcher in her own right. She helped to unlock my interest by plunging into an intensive search on my great-grandmother Rosa's heritage. What she discovered was completely jaw-dropping. It has created a major stir within my family. As a young man, I always longed for family roots, and now, after many years, I'm overwhelmed by what she's uncovered. We've learned that Rosa was decended from Jose Francisco de Ortega, who led the first overland California expedition in 1769, and viewing San Francsico Bay. He was also the founder of Santa Barbara and fathered the very first light-skinned child in California history. Sandra has enabled me to embrace my Spanish heritage for the very first time.

I look forward to viewing other historical wonders on this site.
