Charles Justin Lyons, US Navy of Sag Harbor, LI, New York is Honored by Carl R., Charles J. Lyons Jr, and Frances Lyons McArdle, sons and Daughter.  ACTIVITY DURING WWII -          Served with the Amphibious Force Boat Pool.II in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre. Participated in the initial invasion of Bougainville, Solomon Islands and was in the Battle of Midway

Word has been received that "Jud" Lyons, U.S.N., son of Raymond Lyons, was awarded the Purple Heart on Jan. 23.  He received shrapnel wounds in his right shoulder while in action somewhere in the Pacific area in December.
