Welcome come and sit a while or brouse as you want.
I have been thinking of what to say. My Dads line seems to have come from the English Isles all but Ireland. If Red Cummings had been crowned king insted of Robert the Bruce we would have royal blood and guess we still do.
Dads line is so rich in history in our country and as a child like most of us I didn't pay any attention to it. Men like Nathaniel Green, Francis Cook Ethan Allen can all be found amounst the branches.
My mom's line is all Danish and her Grandfather came on a cattle boat. His dad is where we get lost as ggrandpa was Christian Hansen ankersen when he came and then dropped the Ankersen when he became a citizen. This is the sum of what is known about gggrandpa.

Ceud Mile Failte!
MadehlinneGlad to see anither clan crest badge, beside mesel'...What an interesting lineage you have.
I'm from a cadet branch of the Hunter's of Hunterston, on the west coast of Scotland southeast of Glasgow.
The first Hunter is said to have been in the retinue of William the Conqueror as the royal huntsman [hence the name]. And the Hunter's wife was Lady-in-Waiting to Queen Matilda, William's wife.
Though we're not quite royal, we live to serve. :)
Welcome to our group!
Madehlinne,
Lady Hunterston
