Enlisted July 28, 1917: to Camp Lowden, Springfield, ILL: to Camp Logan, Texas, Sept. 1, 1917: overseas May 27, 1918: in major offensive at Meuse-Argonne and St. Mihiel: discharged June 8, 1919.
Ray E. Suydam married Blanche Mason June 7 1923 in Galesburg, ILL., daughter of Joel Treasie Mason and Nellie Gochenour. She was born Apr. 11 1896 in LaHarpe, ILL. They had 3 children, Nellie Louise b. 17 Aug 1928 in Galesburg, ILL., living Suydam, & living Suydam. Ray Everett Suydam died, 5 Jan. 1969 in Galesburg, ILL.

CELEBRATES FIRST BIRTHDAY, DEC. 25
1933 Robert Earl Suydam, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Suydam, celebrated his first birthday anniversary on Christmas day. A dinner in his honor was served at the home of his grandmother, Mrs. Myrtle Pouder, 1540 East Brooke street. many gifts were bestowed upon the little boy who was born a year ago Christmas Day at St. Mary's hospital.
