    Ray E. Suydam married Blanche Mason June 7 1923 in Galesburg, ILL., daughter of Joel Treasie Mason and Nellie Gochenour. She was born Apr. 11 1896 in LaHarpe, ILL. They had 3 children,  Nellie Louise  b. 17 Aug 1928 in Galesburg, ILL., living Suydam, & living Suydam.  Ray Everett Suydam died, 5 Jan. 1969 in Galesburg, ILL.

    1933     Robert Earl Suydam, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Suydam, celebrated his first birthday anniversary on Christmas day.  A dinner in his honor was served at the home of his grandmother, Mrs. Myrtle Pouder, 1540 East Brooke street.  many gifts were bestowed upon the little boy who was born a year ago Christmas Day at St. Mary's hospital.

    First '42 Baby Born To Jones Family

    The first baby born in 1942 in this city was a boy who arrived at 4:35 o'clock Thursday afternoon, January 1, 1942. The parents are Mr. and Mrs. John Jones, 134 South Cedar St. The fortunate baby arrived in the world claimant to many gifts which are offered by Galesburg merchants. Included among them are shoes, nursery basket, money, milk, silver baby cup and babybunting. These gifts are given each year by local merchants under the sponsorship of the Chamber of Commerce.  Following are the requirements for the contest; the baby must be born in the city of Galesburg; the parents must be residents of the Galesburg trading area; statement of the attending physician must be sent to the local paper, telling the exact time of birth.  Mr. and Mrs. Jones have two other children.  (Robert Earl, age 10 and Marilyn Patricia Suydam, age 7)  Their mom is Pansy IoLa (Pouder) Suydam, Jones

    Christopher Henry LeValley, farmer, is the son of John & Betsy Ann(Durham)of New York State.  He was born in Scholarie County, New York, May 7, 1815.  He has spent his life in Farming and working at the Coopers Track.  He married Harriet Gaines, Jan. 18, 1837.  They have a family of 7 daughters and 1 son.  Came to Illinois and settled in Copley Township in 1842.  Since 1843 he has been a member of the Congregational Church and a Trustee for many years(republican) P.O.
