    Finding our ancestors gravestone

    Saturday, November 28, 2009, 2:13 AM [General]

I found  the site Find A Grave and was able to load up a number of photos of my family and found other graves of other family members. Always looking for more proof with good sources of the data I have.

    My Burk heritage Family

    Wednesday, November 25, 2009, 2:33 PM [General]

In the year 2000 my daughter decided to start tracing our family and began to ask me tons of questions. I got hooked!

I am now going through all my files and trying to correct many errors. So anyone finding errors in my data I welcome your corrections. I have really learned over these past years how important it is to get verification, along with sources. Not always easy.

I live out of country so going to areas of where my ancestors lived is sometimes a problem but also a good excuse when I do get to the states to stop along the way to followup on any leads.

The main Surnames I am tracing:

Burk = William Burk (mountain Peak)

Mallett = My first Mallet landed by sea in the year 1700

Knowlton = My Stephen Knowlton born in 1768 in Connecticut married a Swan

Fullen = My brick wall is Willoby Aserie Fullen born 1832 in TN

Stinnett = Henry Stinnett living in Galley Pope Arkansas = after this it gets quite muddy

Hysom = Henry Pike Haysom Hampshire England 1774

Drake = Looking for verification of William Drake of Fishkill, New York

Cain = My other brick wall. Who is Daniel S CAin's parents? He was born in AL 1844
