    Big brick wall need help

    I've reached a Big brick wall. My Great Grand father William Hunter Share joined Wm Cornwalls, light Infantry 1891 under the name John Share, on the record it states he was born 1869 in Dudley,Staffordshire England. William was in fact born in Pittsburg Pa, 1869. I'm trying to find the John Share's who's Idenity he may have taken. The story in the family is the William took his brother John's name. I can find no record of a John Share born to Joseph and Eliza Share in England. Joseph and Eliza were living in England from around 1879 or 1880 until 1893, at which time the came back to America.

    I'm so glad to be part of this group! I've been researching my family history off and on sense 2000. I't just been the past 4 Years that I've really worked steady at it.  I've found cousins in Canada, England, Scotland. I've received so much help from so many people.  I'm looking for any Information on Share's and Crannage's from around Dudley area England.

    You have great photos Barbara, I still have many to scan and then put onto my blogs...darn work! I am home today with a bad cold, so that is the only reason I can dabble a little! I have ancesters from England and Scotland also, I was born in Germany so there is a ton of history there. I have much work to do! I have only been doing Genealogy for 1 1/2 years, started very late in my life, I wished I had started sooner now! It's a passion and addiction of mine. Right now I am focusing on organizing what I do have and getting my binders together then I will have some blog food and know what I have and don't have. If I come across any of your Surnames I will watch for any information and let you know.
