This web group's mission is to assemble, DTP (Definitive Tangible Proof) meaning any record that proves the existence of a particular ancestor. DTP can be the more obvious, birth certificate, death certificate, marriage license, baptismal record, will, etc. but can also include the more elusive, Census record, tax roll record, land purchases or sales, pictures or photographs, articles (meaning objects, etc.) created by and signed, family Bibles, land deeds, military service records, etc. It is to help each branch of the Arney's find their own ancestors, so they may be shared with others. The true goal is to create information that can be shared, FREELY, with others. After all, costs of joining "must pay web sites" probably deter more people from joining the hobby!
