    A bit about me

    Wednesday, August 27, 2008, 09:38 PM PST [General]

    Hi everyone;

    A little about me;

    I live in Canada.

    I've been hooked on genealogy about 1992. My main areas of research in Canada are Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan and Alberta.

    My USA research interests are North Dakota.

    My outside North America research interests are England, Ukraine, Germany and France.

    My lineage is from England & Ireland to Canada.

    My wife's lineage is from England to Canada and Ukraine to USA.

    My English ancestors came from Hertfordshire in the mid 1700's to Nova Scotia, My 7th greatgranduncle Rev. William A. TUTTY was the first Anglican minister in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada in 1749.

    My Irish connection is on my mother's side, however, we're not sure exactly where in Ireland, possibly from Wexford.

     My wife's English ancestors came from Lincolnshire in the early 1900's and settled in Alberta, Canada.

    My wife's Ukrainian ancestors are really 'German's From Russia', they left the Ukraine (South Russia) in the late 1800's or early 1900's and settled in North Dakota, USA and eventually to Saskatchewan, Canada. These folk originally came from Alscae-Lorraine sometime in the early to mid 1800's.

    There is a partial list of surnames on the left.
