I would really like to trace my American Ancestor's family.

The earliest record I have sighted for my Great Grandfather John FRANCIS is a marriage Bond dated 27th December, 1833 regarding marriage to Joanna TRUIT in Chowan County, North Carolina.

The family then appears in the 1850 census for the County of Tyrrell which shows:

John Francis 50

Ann (Joanna) 34

Thomas 11 (my Grandfather)

Mariah 8

John 4

Sady 11/12

I have tried for years to find earlier Francis history without success.

Can anyone help, PLEASE.
