I am a big fan of Nathaniel Philbrick - a historian who writes as if he's spinning a yarn, instead of telling historical fact!
In Sept. 2008, he published an amazing follow-up to his 2007 Pulitzer Prize winning book. . . . The new & improved version has charts, lists, maps, etc:
THE MAYFLOWER AND THE PILGRIMS' NEW WORLD - Presented at the reading level of age 13 and up, it is just as marvelous as his Pulitzer Prize winning 2007 book.
For family historians with interest in the Mayflower era of American history, this book is a must read - and a must have in the personal library.
Read more about it & see photos - at my DETAILED REVIEW . . . .

I enjoyed what you had to say and feel the exact same way about finding out about family members that came before me. Thank you for the additional information you posted with genealogy sites, I know personally I can use all the help and assistance I can come across.
